As a reminder, Pack 216 will be holding our annual winter camping weekend Friday, January 9th to Sunday, January 11th at Camp Ware (239 Jubilee Rd, Peach Bottom, PA 17563). The cost will be $20 per person, which will cover food costs and the use of the facilities for the weekend. We will be sleeping indoors in heated cabins with bunk beds, so it is a great opportunity for those who may not have been camping before or simply prefer to sleep indoors. To attend, please RSVP on the Pack 216 website. This is a family friendly event, so parents and siblings are welcome to attend.

As a reminder, our December pack meeting will be next Saturday, December 13th from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at Lower Pine Creek Park (1488 Yellow Springs Rd, Chester Springs, PA 19425).  To celebrate the upcoming holidays, we'll be doing a reverse scavenger hunt and cookie exchange.  Please dress warm as we will be outside for the entire event. 

As we discussed at our October Pack Meeting, this month Pack 216 will be organizing a "Scouting for Food" drive to collect much needed food and household items for the Lord's Pantry in Downingtown.  Food insecurity remains a significant issue within our community and becomes more challenging around the holidays. The need is expected to be even greater this year with impacts of the government shutdown impacting many families. 

Earlier this month, Chester County Council officially opened registration for summer camp for 2026! Pack 216 will be attending session #2 which goes from Wednesday, July 15th through Sunday, July 19th. Summer camp is a great opportunity for cub scouts to experience a lot of fun and educational activities. This includes outdoor camping (we sleep on platform tents with cots or you can bring your own tent), archery, BB gun shooting, sling shots, rock wall climbing, swimming, BMX riding, fire building, science & technology activities and arts & crafts. In addition to this, each cub scout will have the opportunity to work on requirements specific to their rank.

Thank you to everyone who attended our fall Spook-O-Ree camping trip last weekend at Camp Horseshoe! We had 55 people attend the trip, which included tent camping, fall activities and beautiful weather.

If you are a new participant in scouts or are simply in need of a new scout uniform, cub scout uniforms can be purchased at the Neubauer Scout Shop, located at the PARC building in Exton (1 Scouting Wy, Exton, PA 19341).
