Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 216

Scouting is unique. It is a movement dedicated to bringing out the best in people. The overall mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to build character in our youth, learn citizenship, and develop personal fitness. Cub Scouting doesn’t emphasize winning as an end result, but rather the far more demanding task of doing one’s best.

Cub Scout Pack 216 consists of boys and girls in grades K through 5 from around Lionville and Chester Springs. Most of our scouts go to school at Lionville, Pickering Valley or Uwchlan Hills Elementary Schools, but they can come from any school. The Cub Scout Pack is made up of different Dens. There’s a den for each grade and the scouts stay in their den with other friends as they progress through each grade/rank.

Cub Scout Pack 216 is chartered by St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lionville as part of their youth ministry program.

I hope everyone is doing well and had a great summer! With the school year starting this week, Pack 216 leadership is very excited to be starting the 2025 - 2026 scouting year as well! As you are aware, this summer Pack 216 will be attending Cub Scout Overnight Summer Camp at Camp Ware from Wednesday, July 16th through Sunday, July 20th. We currently have 28 individuals signed up but still have 12 available spots for anyone who is still interested in attending. If you are interested in attending, please email me directly by Thursday, May 22nd with the number of days attending. After that date, the spots will no longer be available.

April Campout at Ashland Nature Center!

For our April campout, Pack 216 will be going to Ashland Nature Center Friday, April 11th to Sunday, April 13th. Ashland Nature Center is located about 45 minutes from St. Paul's Church at 3511 Barley Mill Road, Hockessin, DE 19707.

Pack 216 Winter Camp is Next Weekend!

I hope everyone is enjoying a snowy Saturday afternoon! As a reminder, Pack 216 will be holding our annual winter camping weekend next Friday, February 21st to Sunday, February 23rd at Camp Ware (239 Jubilee Rd, Peach Bottom, PA 17563). The cost will be $20 per person, which will cover food costs and the use of the facilities for the weekend. We will be sleeping indoors in heated cabins with bunk beds, so it is a great opportunity for those who may not have been camping before or simply prefer to sleep indoors.
